What Politicizing Our Youth Leads To

h/t to azaeroprof for linking me to this.

It's funny to me that these children are singing for government run health while simultaneously calling the current system capricious. Maybe their teachers should have taught them what capricious* means first.

Oh and don't forget about the gratuitous Joe Wilson dig.

* Can you think of anyone more impulsive, unpredictable or inconstant than the U.S. Government? Yeah, neither can I.

Breast Pumps and Pacemakers

The Baucus Bill, covered by Moe Lane, of RedState, from the breast pump angle, is obviously just a backdoor attempt to kill Dick Cheney.

Community Organizer Group Prays to Obama *UPDATE*

[UPDATE]See Pamela Geller's post at Atlas Shrugs, she connects the dots between Obama and Gamaliel.

From 1985 to 1988, he worked for a subsidiary of the Chicago-based Gamaliel Foundation, founded on the principles of Saul "The Red" Alinsky. He worked as a consultant and trainer. On the board of Gamaliel sat Northwestern University professor John L. McKnight, a student of Alinsky's radical tactics. While at Gamaliel, McKnight became Obama's mentor in community organizing.

As we have noted, when Obama worked for Gamaliel, he was paid by the Woods Foundation, which supported the radical group. Obama would later serve on the Woods Foundation board with terrorist and socialism advocate William Ayers. McKnight schooled young Obama in the gospel according to Alinsky. He apparently saw much promise in the budding politician, a way to advance Alinsky's radical socialist agenda into the highest levels in government.

More from the man who saved the 2nd Amendment

In part 2 of 5 Judge Silberman speaks about the "incorporation doctrine" and it's affect, if any, on the 2nd Amendment.

Judge Silberman says:

The interesting question now that is going to go before the Supreme Court is whether the Second Amendment is incorporated. . . . It would be anomalous for the Supreme Court to conclude that the Second Amendment creates or protects an individual right to keep and bear arms, but it does not apply vis a vis the states.

He goes on to explain that the wording of the 2nd Amendment itself is broad enough to preclude the States from making laws infringing on the right to keep and bear arms. Regardless of whether "incorporation doctrine" is applied or not.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Judge Silberman appear on the short list for SCOTUS appointees in the next Republican administration, which should begin in Jan 2012.

Stay tuned for episodes 3-5.

The man who saved the 2nd Amendment

When you get a chance go over to National Review's Uncommon Knowledge and watch Judge Laurence H. Silberman* briefly explain the individual right to keep and bear arms.

* Judge Silberman ruled on the D.C. gun ban case, the SCOTUS later agreed with his ruling.

LA Times: POTUS Bringing his A-game

Via Moe Lane of RedState

I didn't make it past the second paragraph before finding this gem.

The president's coolness in the face of the right wing's relentlessly anti-intellectual assault on his policies has been impressive as a display of character. But it also has enabled his opponents to subvert his program and erode his popularity.

Must be rough getting you posterior handed to you by a bunch of "anti-intellectual" rubes such as us. Makes one question the supposed intellectual prowess of the POTUS now doesn't it.

A Political Theme Song for the Obama Generation

There I was completely wasting, out of work and down
All inside its so frustrating as I drift from town to town
Feel as though nobody cares if I live or die
So I might as well begin to put some action in my life

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

So much for the golden future, I cant even start
Ive had every promise broken, theres anger in my heart
You dont know what its like, you dont have a clue
If you did youd find yourselves doing the same thing too**

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

You dont know what its like

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

Breaking the law
