Community Organizer Group Prays to Obama *UPDATE*

[UPDATE]See Pamela Geller's post at Atlas Shrugs, she connects the dots between Obama and Gamaliel.

From 1985 to 1988, he worked for a subsidiary of the Chicago-based Gamaliel Foundation, founded on the principles of Saul "The Red" Alinsky. He worked as a consultant and trainer. On the board of Gamaliel sat Northwestern University professor John L. McKnight, a student of Alinsky's radical tactics. While at Gamaliel, McKnight became Obama's mentor in community organizing.

As we have noted, when Obama worked for Gamaliel, he was paid by the Woods Foundation, which supported the radical group. Obama would later serve on the Woods Foundation board with terrorist and socialism advocate William Ayers. McKnight schooled young Obama in the gospel according to Alinsky. He apparently saw much promise in the budding politician, a way to advance Alinsky's radical socialist agenda into the highest levels in government.

More from the man who saved the 2nd Amendment

In part 2 of 5 Judge Silberman speaks about the "incorporation doctrine" and it's affect, if any, on the 2nd Amendment.

Judge Silberman says:

The interesting question now that is going to go before the Supreme Court is whether the Second Amendment is incorporated. . . . It would be anomalous for the Supreme Court to conclude that the Second Amendment creates or protects an individual right to keep and bear arms, but it does not apply vis a vis the states.

He goes on to explain that the wording of the 2nd Amendment itself is broad enough to preclude the States from making laws infringing on the right to keep and bear arms. Regardless of whether "incorporation doctrine" is applied or not.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Judge Silberman appear on the short list for SCOTUS appointees in the next Republican administration, which should begin in Jan 2012.

Stay tuned for episodes 3-5.

When you get a chance go over to National Review's Uncommon Knowledge and watch Judge Laurence H. Silberman* briefly explain the individual right to keep and bear arms.

* Judge Silberman ruled on the D.C. gun ban case, the SCOTUS later agreed with his ruling.

LA Times: POTUS Bringing his A-game

Via Moe Lane of RedState

I didn't make it past the second paragraph before finding this gem.

The president's coolness in the face of the right wing's relentlessly anti-intellectual assault on his policies has been impressive as a display of character. But it also has enabled his opponents to subvert his program and erode his popularity.

Must be rough getting you posterior handed to you by a bunch of "anti-intellectual" rubes such as us. Makes one question the supposed intellectual prowess of the POTUS now doesn't it.

A Political Theme Song for the Obama Generation

There I was completely wasting, out of work and down
All inside its so frustrating as I drift from town to town
Feel as though nobody cares if I live or die
So I might as well begin to put some action in my life

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

So much for the golden future, I cant even start
Ive had every promise broken, theres anger in my heart
You dont know what its like, you dont have a clue
If you did youd find yourselves doing the same thing too**

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

You dont know what its like

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

Breaking the law

The WH, The NEA, ACORN, 'Cool' People, and Serve.Gov Go into a bar...

The crew over at Big Hollywood and Big Goverment continued the fight today.

Further exposing the incestuous nature of the modern Progressive Left in America, John Nolte details the soon to be infamous conference call between the White House Office of Public Engagement, the NEA's Communications Director, Serve.gov Director of Outreach, and a list of hand picked artists/trend setters/just plain "cool" people.

In it he paints a picture of the not so subtle desire of the Obama Administration to have a PR hit squad that even Joseph Goebbels would be proud of.

All evidence points to the fact that the conference call was a ruse, a front for a White House using Skolnik as a kind of beard in order to put an innocent spin on their abuse of the NEA and two non-partisan volunteer organizations (United We Serve – an initiative overseen by The Corporation for National and Community Service – a federal agency, and the White House’ Office of Public Engagement).

The goal: To motivate a group of hand-picked pro-Obama artists (grant recipients or those wanting grants) to push the President’s flagging agenda, especially health care — and to funnel this promotion through the ACORN related- Serve.gov website.

I am not a lawyer and certainly won't attempt to debate the illegality of this call and the greater relationship that exists. There are others who have already done that and come to the conclusion that "laws were broken"...

All of this – particularly the government-sponsored conference call itself – is in blatant violation of the Anti-Lobbying Act (19 U.S. Code §1913), which explicitly provides: “No part of the money appropriated by any enactment of Congress shall, in the absence of express authorization by Congress, be used directly or indirectly to pay for any personal service, advertisement, telegram, telephone, letter, printed or written matter, or other device, intended or designed to influence in any manner a Member of Congress, a jurisdiction, or an official of any government, to favor, adopt, or oppose by vote or otherwise, any legislation, law, ratification, policy, or appropriation, whether before or after the introduction of any bill, measure or resolution proposing such legislation, law, ratification, policy or appropriation …”

[snip...]

Violation of the Anti-Lobbying Act carries punishment: “Any person who makes an expenditure … shall be subject to a civil penalty of not less than $10,000 and not more than $100,000 for each such expenditure.” And that’s not all: “An imposition of a civil penalty under this subsection does not prevent the United States from seeking any other remedy that the United States may have for the same conduct that is the basis for the imposition of such civil penalty.” In other words, criminal prosecution is available here.

Who am I to disagree. ;^)

I wonder if any of this will be covered by ABC, CBS, NBC, MSDNC, CNN, or any of those soon to be subsidized birdcage liners Bambi is thinking he like to buy and manipulate.

Know Your Emission Recognition

Our planet has contracted a virus worse than H1N1, worse than the plague, even worse than Global Warming or the more flexible Climate Change. Our planet has contracted a bad case of stupidity, and it's going to get us all killed*.

For years we have heard that Global warming is going to drown us all as the glaciers melt and the seas rise. For years we have been told that we are the problem. We have been told that CO2 emissions are the culprit. Our cars are too big, they put out too much CO2. They are killing the planet.

Really?

Well the IPCC and Owl Gore would love us to believe that. Thing is...it just ain't true.

The hockey stick graph has been debunked, 10-12 years of Global temperature drops have proven it to be a false prediction. The computer models have failed.

The revelation of these facts will not deter those who are committed to the Church of Climate Change. No. The true believers are gathering, as we speak, to perform a concert for Climate Change.

55 Superstars, entourage in tow, plan to sing in order to stop Climate Change.

So, let me get this straight. In order to "save the planet" these idiots want to have approx 51000** people travel on private jets, commercial flights, cars, buses and many other modes of CO2 spewing transportation in order to watch 55 bands spew even more CO2 from their mouths while listening to songs not seen on the top 40 since Global Cooling was a big deal.

Let me be the first to say....GREEN FAIL

Pat Toomey needs your help.

We have a chance to reclaim Arlen Specter's seat in 2010. Specter is in a primary challenge after his recent conversion to the Democratic Party. Hopefully Sestak will bloody Specter up. The battle wounds Specter will recieve should not be relied on to guarantee success though.

The people know the issues and they also know the direction they want to take to address these issues, see Rasmussen for details.

Healthcare is the issue of the moment. Healthcare is the Democratic Party's Waterloo.

Pat Toomey understands this. Knowing this Toomey has embarked on a fundraising initiative, focused on Healthcare, named Toomsday.

Please join our effort to have 1,000 people pledge to donate $30 by September 30th to stop government-run health care. This deadline so important that we are calling it Toomsday and need your help to sign up your family and friends or share this page.

Help Pat Toomey fight against Government Run Healthcare. Help Pat Toomey take PA back.

45% Approval...this calls for a video tribute

So Rasmussen Reports has the President at a 45% approval and a 53% disapproval rating after just 7 months in office. His meteoric rise to the Presidency has since began it's return to the third rock from the Sun. Some may want to analyze these numbers and find out why he is in a free fall. Me...well I think I will just delight in this bit of schadenfreude.

Spitzer to challenge Gillibrand

No, I am not joking. [h/t to Michelle Malkin]

Via NYPost:

Less than 18 months after he left Albany in a prostitution scandal, Spitzer has held informal discussions in recent weeks about the possibility of making a bid for state comptroller or the US Senate seat currently held by Kirsten Gillibrand, sources said.

Well, oddly enough, I think the Senate is a perfect place for a whore mongering sleaze bag to remake his image. It's not like he left a woman to die of asphyxiation in a river or something.
