Rep. Etheridge Blames The Victim
She shouldn't have been dressed like that Officer

So, Democrat thug Rep. Etheridge offers the typical non-apology apology after footage of him assaulting a young man was posted on youtube. He says he watched the video and in retrospect was wrong. Sort of.

Let's watch the video again so it is fresh on our minds...

Now let's look at Rep. Bob "The Bully" Etheridge's apology...

"I have seen the video posted on several blogs," says Etheridge. "I deeply and profoundly regret my reaction, and I apologize to all involved. Throughout my many years of service to the people of North Carolina, I have always tried to treat people from all viewpoints with respect. No matter how intrusive and partisan our politics can become, this does not justify a poor response. I have and I will always work to promote a civil public discourse."

Now let me translate that...

"I have seen that I got caught assaulting a young man on camera," says Etheridge. "I deeply and profoundly regret not having taken both cameras, and I apologize for embarrassing my party. Throughout my many years of servicing to the people of North Carolina, I have always tried to treat people from all viewpoints as beneath me. I don't know who these peasants think they are, they should be averting their eyes when I pass by them, even so, I shouldn't have let myself get on tape. I have and I will always work to promote a civil public discourse, and by civil discourse I mean: Peasants need not apply."

So yeah, he apologized ... Just like a rapist apologizes for violating a woman who decided to dress pretty.

There is no room in civilized politics for thugs like Rep. Bob "The Bully" Etheridge.

Luckily there is an alternative.
